Intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without proof, evidence, or conscious reasoning, or without understanding how the knowledge was acquired
WHAT IS AN INTUITIVE PERSON?
We're all intuitive to one degree or other. Anyone can develop and strengthen their intuition. An intuitive person is someone who generally has a feel for something. Either they know something’s going to happen, or have a feel for whether or not a situation or person is positive or negative. Intuition is defined as the ability to perceive the truth independent of using any reasoning. Intuition can manifest itself in a variety of ways, and typically comes as a quick and keen insight that did not involve any conscious effort.
HOW DOES INTUITION SPEAK TO ME?
People experience intuition in many ways. Some intuitions come in dreams; others are experienced through body sensations. Some famous people, such as the philosopher Socrates and the musician Mozart, report hearing an inner voice or an inner musical score.
WHAT ARE THE TRAITS?
There are several different ways of experiencing intuition. The 4 main types in which intuitive people receive their information are:
Intuitive Seeing: The 1st type is Clairvoyance, which is where a person has a vision, or "sees" something - an event, a person. It can be from the past or something that's in the future.
Intuitive Hearing: The 2nd type is Clairaudience which is "hearing". The person "hears", the information in their mind.
Intuitive Feeling: The 3rd type is Clairsentience. When a person has the ability to quickly perceive the emotions of others, especially the deep, hidden emotions, then he or she would be labeled as an intuitive empath. This type of intuition is where the person feels the sensation in their body. This can be feeling another person's emotions, or feeling positive or negative vibes in an area, a building, or from another person. Many people experience this type of intuition when they get what's called a "gut feeling", or when they've been somewhere that has an icky feeling to it. People have said they've experienced this feeling when visiting Ground Zero in NY.
Intuitive Knowing: The 4th type of intuition is Claircognizance. This is "knowing". Knowing something is going to happen, or knowing something just isn't right. It can also be a kind of wisdom about a situation. They can come across as a premonition, or even a knowing that a situation or deal.
Most intuitive people have 1 or 2 abilities which are the strongest. They can also have the other 2, but usually in lesser degrees.
If someone is intuitive, it's important they establish very strong personal boundaries. It can becoming overwhelming to feel things on these deep levels. In the case of empaths, it can be challenging for them to distinguish between what are their own emotions and what are those of other people, Being intuitive brings with it a level of responsibility. Being responsible means you don't use your intuition as a means to invade another person's privacy. Being intuitive can be a gift, but it can also be quite challenging.
